COUNSELLING
Compassion and curiosity lead to awareness and understanding.
I specialize in counselling at the intersection of emotions and spirit, where psychology and soul meet. I have witnessed healing coming through the heart, the body, and the spirit—not as separate pathways, but as one integrated path.
A Deeper Approach to Healing
My work goes beyond talk therapy and traditional cognitive behavioral approaches. While CBT offers valuable tools for recognizing and shifting thought patterns, true healing often requires us to go deeper: into the body, early relational patterns, and the emotional layers that words alone cannot reach.
Counselling with me is a process of gently revealing layers to be witnessed, understood, and released. These layers often formed in childhood, shaping our attachment patterns—how we learned to connect, protect ourselves, and make sense of our worth. Whether your wounds are recent or reach back to early life, many of us carry hurts that have developed into patterns hindering us now.
Part of my role is to help you sort out who you are now from what happened in the past. Drawing on attachment theory and childhood development, I help you understand how early relationships shaped your current ways of being with yourself and others. By understanding these patterns with kindness and openness, they naturally loosen, increasing your capacity for intimacy and trust—in yourself and in your relationships.
A Somatic, Integrative Process
I want to discover with you your own way of telling your story. Making it safe to look at what needs healing. This isn’t just intellectual work. We’ll include your body’s wisdom, the sensations and signals that keep a safe pace and help ground mental understanding into emotional intelligence.
During sessions, I will gently encourage you to stay true to yourself as you explore your issues—personal, familial, cultural. At times, I may suggest you pause to sense your body or your breath, deepening your connection with the moment and your true self.
Breath and sensing help us get in touch with our bodies. As you go deeper, I hold safe space for you to find your own truth, helping you clarify what matters most. And how you want to move forward.

“Olivia offers compassionate and insightful counselling, leading me to new perspectives on difficult issues. She helps me find new ways of changing or coping with these situations, but also draws out and reinforces the positive things I’m already doing to cope. I walk away feeling good about how I’m doing, as well as feeling like I have more tools to help deal with ongoing issues. Thank you Olivia!” – P.D.
